Well, did Coleridge plagiarize Schelling or not by 'dropping phrases'
from his philosophy in his English-language writings? I think it's
a more "vexed" question than people normally realize, in that the
actual issue is 1) simple and 2) contestable but not 3) what
it is represented as being.

It just seems the wrong thing to call Coleridge's choices "plagiarism" there.
